Snowshoe Closing Weekend

Sorry, I'm a bit late on posting this but, about two weeks ago my family and I went to Snowshoe mountain bike park, in West Virginia. We almost weren't able to ride the first day because of a closed road, we were told that it would be 2/3 hours till the road opened. Well, that must have been an old report because when we finished getting gas the road was open. We were the first people there. But, the lift opened in 20 minutes. So while our parents went to go get the tickets my brother, Rory, and I got dressed. That plan worked out well because when our parents got back with the tickets Rory and I went to do a lap while our dad was getting ready. The dirt was so good on Friday But on Saturday it was traditional Snowshoe weather. It down poured on Friday night, then on Saturday the dirt was fine but the roots were so SLICK. I only crashed once but it hurt. When Saturday was over we had dinner, but it's hard to eat when you're surrounded by deer that want your food. Saturday night was so cold that Rory and I slept in double layers of socks, super warm sleeping bags, and thick clothes. When we awoke on Sunday my dad and I rode till noon. The reason my brother and mom didn't ride on Sunday was that my dad and I had season passes to Windrock Bike Park and if you get a season pass there you get three free passes at Snowshoe. When dad and I were riding on Sunday we spent a lot of time on the Western Territory Side, while we were over there I rode my first Double Black Diamond trail at Snowshoe called "QuickDraw." (I've rode many other double black diamonds at other places like Windrock, Beech Mountain, and Sugar Mountain). Here are a couple of pictures from our trip.
